MPB Technologies Inc. was formed in 1976 from the research group of RCA Laboratories in Montreal, Quebec.
Early on, the Company streamlined its' efforts into technologically diverse fields based on incoming projects and sales: Telecommunications, Space Technologies, Fusion Technology, Electromagnetics Systems and Measurements, Telerobotics, and Laser Products.
As time evolved, the lines between the divisions blurred, and many technologies and applications carried over from one division to the other - Lasers to Communications; Telerobotics to Space and Communications; and, oddly enough, projects from the Space Technologies group formed a new company with specialized products for Natural Resources Industry - Lamsor.
Today, MPB Technologies Inc. also includes MPB Communications Inc., MPB Lasertech Inc., and the MPB Electronics Test Centres.
Lamsor, MPB Technologies, and MPB Communications are headquartered in Montreal, Quebec, and include over 70,000 square feet in two adjacent buildings, fully facilitated to conduct research and development and manufacturing.
